Why would a good God send people to hell? |
For the the same reason that a judge would send guilty lawbreakers to jail. If a judge did not do this, he would be an unjust judge. God cannot be unjust. In fact, it is he very goodness that demans that sin must be paid for. It is is he very goodness that, in the end, will send people to hell. Because the judge is a good judge, he will send burglars, arsonists, murderers, rapists to jail. God is so good, that he will also punish all liars. The Bible says, "All liars will have their place in the lake of fire.

How can I be saved from God's eternal hell? |
Humble yourself before God, admit to him that you've broken his moral laws, name your sins, be really honest and do not trivialise your sin, allow yourself to be broken by the shame of what you've done, now, before God, repent (turn) from sin and trust (turn to) Jesus and accept his death as fully payment for your sin. Accept God's forgiveness as you pray directely to God. God has promised that to all who repent and trust Jesus for salvation, he will forgive them and give them his Holy Spirit to live in them forever. Trust this promise. Now get hold of a Bible, read it daily and do what it says. Stay clost to God in prayer, get to know his people and share your new faith with others.

How can Jesus death save me from hell? |
Because God is holy, he said that sin must be paid for. The penalty he set was spiritual death: eternal separation from the loving presence of God in hell to be tormented forever for rejecting his love. God loved you so much that he came to earth as a man, Jesus, and paid the debt for you so you could go free. It was a substitutionary death. His life for yours. Jesus could only be accepted as a worthy sacrifice because he was perfect. And because of this, God raised him from death three days later to show that he had conquered sin and death, thus making forgiveness of sins and eternal life available to all who humble themselves, repent (turn from sin) and trust in Jesus.

How can I be sure I'm saved? |
The Bible says that salvation is a gift from God given to those who repent and put their faith in Jesus and his death for them. Faith is believing in what we cannot see. But faith is not blind since God has given us many proofs of his love for us. Creation declares his glory, our conscience reminds us of his laws, we have the witness of the Bible (God's infallible Word). Every step of faith you take, no matter how small, God will prove himself to you once again. Take God at his Word. He said that if you repented and put trust in Jesus YOU WOULD BE SAVED. Be encouraged by Jesus words to one of his disciples who missed on of Jesus appearances after the resurrection. Jesus finally caught up with him but rebuked his lack of faith when he said, "You believe because you have seen, blessed are those who believe who have not seen." That's you and me.
